Google Chrome OS @ 10:48 p.m. on 20 November 2009

Chrome OS? Definitely a different way of getting online.

Google is currently trying to push it for use on netbooks. The internet cloud idea for your own computer is definitely a new and interesting one to get around wirelessly. But I would say that with current mobile internet speeds, music and video is still a tad too slow to be streamed online with the same quality. There would probably be too many replication of data in the cloud.

Moreover I would think that this would be much better as a dual boot than a netbook itself.

There are currently way too many issues surrounding cloud computing, but i guess Google always takes a step ahead. This would probably push cloud computing one step further and more available to the consumers who only use it for personal purposes. I like to have a choice, and google is providing me with ample of it =)

Don't forget to look out for Google Wave, another application based on cloud computing. Also for the mainstream consumers. Google is really tempting me =)

driving license @ 10:33 p.m. on 15 November 2009

It's been long since I added an entry :s and tmr is driving test day! Means I can drive around after that already! W00t!

Suddenly find the urge to compile a possible i-want-to-get-list instead of a wishlist. Because wishlist not really practical :s

1) Driving license! Not too tough, I'll take it tmr =)

2) Nice sunglasses! (Or i might get a transition lens with cool frame in malaysia) - I'm staring @ hwz oakley thread, like luring me to buy one custom made for around $250 o.o

3) Portable Media Player! I'm still thinking of Ainol and Ramos. But I think Ainol's review is better so far. Okay sorry for mentioning the wulu brands, they're good and cheap but with their downsides of course. But way cheaper compared to ipod touch with just $195 getting me a full set 16gig storage. Not like I'll end up being crazy over apps I guess. Losing novelty anyway.

4) A good watch. I'll probably have to choose this myself properly. I'm also tired of me disposing of watches all the time. Gadgets make me drool more though =(

5) A small desktop [maybe with atom core!] thrown into a fridge and running 24/7. I'm tired of cpu dying. Not like I'm into games anymmore. Not until NS is over :s

I think that's quite a fair bit for now. It'll take awhile to save up but worthy of investment =)

Meanwhile, DRIVING LICENSE HERE I COME!
